Microsoft discontinued support for Server 2003 on July 14, 2015. MITC has continued to provide unrestricted services for nearly two additional years.
Effective May 1, 2017, MITC software remains available for Server 2003, but unlimited services will be restricted to non-operating-specific issues. Services that require working with Server 2003 and accommodating the lack of current capabilities will be charged separately at an hourly rate of $180.00 US.
Customers using Server 2003 are recommended to contact MITC to obtain information on a more appropriate server or consider using MITC Cloud. MITC provides new RAID-10 servers with RDS support, re-installation, and data migration services, and will assist customers making the migration on their own.
- Any server running 2003 is very slow compared with currently available servers
- The typical network configuration is a LAN (Local Area Network) as opposed to RDS (Remote Desktop Services), resulting in further relative performance degradation
- Overall performance improvements are typically well in excess of 250%!
- Microsoft security patches are not available for Server 2003
